Have any of you used Atahualpa for a car dealership website..and if so, what plug ins did you use for VIN number checks, entering cars and other vehicles for sale. I know there are Car dealership themes out there with all this built in, but I would rather stick with Atahualpa.

This looks like it has it all, but I was hoping to get someone who had actually built a car dealer site using Atahualpa. Going to another theme makes me feel like I am cheating on a boyfriend!! Weird or what??

Well perhaps someone has built a car dealer with Atahualpa but I would expect that to be a long shot. What I have done many time is buy plugins from Code Canyon just to try them out. Sometime I chalk the cost up to experience and sometimes I find a winner.

Yes, I found one in Minneapolis. Ewwww. They use an <iframe> for their content. The site is not anything I would like to emulate.

I just cannot believe that someone has not come up with a VIN decoder plugin that does not include advertising. This is the only one I could find:

You ever look at decoding a VIN? There are lots and lots and lots of possible combinations.

I know that is true, Juggledad. I was still working on options for him when he emailed me that his buddy is going to do him a website as a favour.

My favourite websites are ALWAYS ones done by the buddies. Or friend's son who is in Grade 10. Or sister's husband who will do it when he feels like it.
