[SOLVED] Placing logo over top of Rotating header images

http://batifole.ca/blog/wine-list/
ata 3.6.4 w.p. 3.0.4

I am trying to add the logo overtop of the rotating header images, can you help me?

Also I'm not sure if this is a them issue but changes can take up to 8 hours to be seen, and are not consistent on all pages etc. If you click between the pages you will see what I mean.

Thanks

Do you have a caching plugin installed?

I have Wp-Cache enabled, I believe it comes as a default.

Your issue with the site not refreshing is probably due to the caching, shut it off and see if that fixes the issue.

As for having the logo over the rotating headers, this works as long as you are not using the fade in/out option. The code that is used to do the fade in/out does not respect the z-index and places the images on top of everything else.

Didn't seem to fix the loading/save issue.

So I can put my logo on top of the rotating images if I turn off fade option. I want the logo to be constant while the photos rotate.

Is that possible?

Thanks very much.

I should also mention the delay in saving changes only seems to effect ATA options. When I change a post or page the changes are made right away.

Thanks

Yes you can have the logo on top of the rotating images IF you do not use fading.

Caching works by making a copy of a page and storing the copy for display. It does a quick check to see if any 'content' on the page has changed, if it has, it generates a new copy of the page. This is why your posts show up right away. Changes to the theme are not always 'content' changes, so the cached copy of the page could keep being shown.

Most caches have a time limit that when exceeded they will automatically make a new copy of the page.

The reason many hosts are adding the caching plugins as an automatic default, is to increase response time for people visiting the blog and to cut down of the load on their servers.

Hello... I would also like to have a logo over rotating images....but I cannot figure out how to do this!
I found the options to "Overlay Blog TITLE / TAGLINE over Header Image(s)" but I cannot find an option to overlay the LOGO. how can I do it, and how can I position it so that the logo stays over the left of the images?

Well, you could look at the source of the generated page an find the section created by having the %logo in he 'Configure Header Area', then copy this code and put it in the Header Overlay area and then remove the %logo.

Take a look at this thread.

Thanks for the help... it worked in the end. But it is really hard - for someone not good at coding, to make it work! Having the possibilty of easily putting the logo over the rotating images in the header would really be a great feature to add to the next version of Atahualpa!
