How to insert 3 columns in the body of every page EXCEPT the Home Page?...for dummies

I just read through the thread about changing posts to 2 columns, but I have absolutely zero knowledge of code (I was able to change the border around the header to solid instead of dashed...that's the extent of my experience with code...).

I have a site with pages, not posts, and I would like the body of all of the pages except the home page to be in 3 columns.

If you provide me with code, could you also provide instructions on where to put the code (i.e. how to find it)?

BTW, this theme is AWESOME! So much you can do with it! I was attracted to it because it was free, but I'm using it because it ROCKS! I just donated!

There are also plugins for creating columns in pages which I find easier than using CSS or tables in pages for columns.
