[SOLVED] Posts page has no meta-title in browser tab
This is a minor problem, but I'm stumped.
I'm using a static home page, and SEO Options are set to Yes. The Meta Title Tag Format is set to Page Title - Blog title. My Posts Page is called "Blog," and in the browser tab, all it shows is the blog title. All other pages are fine, that is, they show the Page Title followed by the Blog Title. Just as a test, I tried turning SEO Options to No, deactivated my Google XML Sitemap Generator plug-in, and activated Yoast SEO, and the problem went away. But Yoast is a bit over my head and I'd rather just use the XML plug-in and the BFA SEO Options. Does anyone else see this problem? Any ideas? |
works fine for me
1) did you try clearing your browser cache? 2) do you have a caching plugin active? Did you clear it? 3) what is the sites URL? |
juggledad, thanks for testing this out!
1) Yep 2) No, I don't, but I tried deactivating anything might affect this, to no avail. 3) www.davidweiss.net, and see http://www.davidweiss.net/blog/ compared with the other pages. |
Ok, I miss read your issue and now see it myself, let me look at this...

I'd like you to test this out - it works for me, but it's always good to have someone else test a fix.
Rename the file .../wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_meta_tags.php to .../wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_meta_tags.old Then unzip the attached file and upload it to the '.../wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/' folder Next test it and see if it works for you. |
Works on this end as well; thank you SO much, juggledad! : )
