sidebars for certain categories

Hello,

Is there a way to display a sidebar for certain pages and a certain category of posts? I would really love this if this is possible.

P.S. I am running all latest versions of wordpress and atahualpa.

I think atahualpa has a way of being modified through sidebar "style and configure sidebars" to do this already.
