Static Front Page, blog another page?
 

Hi everyone. I am updating my San Diego Hikes and hiking books site to wordpress to have a blog. I'd like to have my front page just be a static welcome page, and then have another page called "blog" where I could post all of my posts and allow comments, etc.

I can't quite figure out how to do this though. Can anyone help?

Go to Settings - Reading - Change Front page displays to Static.
Assign another page to Posts.

I made another home page (deleted the title in the post so 2 home pages won't show up) I made another page titled NEWS for the post page. I have been using it for 4 days learning as I go. Good luck
