menu area as big as the container area in the middle of the site
 

Hi,
I need you help again!
I am working in a new site, and I need to do the menu as big as the container area, I am working with firebug but I can't find the way to do that.
Also the container white area should be center in the middle and I want to remove this strange thing that appears on the right top side.
Any ideas?
