[SOLVED] Need help to reduce menu background portion

I want to reduce extra background portion of both side behind menu options.

Can anybody tell me how to do it?

you could reduce the number of rows it uses and add them to the logo area row.
Take a look at the header.php virtual template and read up about the grid system in the CSS Settings main page.
