[SOLVED] how to make a blog post a page on the menu bar
I wrote a blog post last week about were to find farmers market in my area. As I wrote this post last week it is now on page 3-4 on my blog and not easy to find. I would like to take this post and put it in the menu bar alongside my other pages for easy reference. How do I do this?
Thanks |
First, navigate to the post you want to put in the menu, as you would if you were just going to read it. Copy the full URL of the post.
In your dashboard, go to Appearance/Menus. In the Custom Links section, paste in the URL, and in the Label field, type in what you want to call the menu item. Click Add to Menu (assuming you had open the menu you want to add it to). |
Why not just make the post a 'sticky'?

Also if you are using the WordPress menus you can open Screen Option on the menu page and check the Posts box. No you can select any post you want on the left.

Didn't know about that one! Thanks, lmilesw.

I tried the suggestions by both paulae and lmilesw and nothing worked. I suspect it is because I do not have a custom menu. Is that correct? When I set up my blog I just add page titles to the page tab in wordpress

Actually I just got it to work. Thanks all!
