[SOLVED] Author bio & photo in sidebar

Hi, I'm completely new to WordPress/Atahualpa. I'm still configuring the site and PHP gets me cross-eyed.

My question:
How do I put a photo and short bio in the right sidebar up at the top?

I'm on Atahualpa 3.4.4 and WP 2.8.4, the host is remote.

Thanks

If you mean something like what we have here (http://callofthemuse.com),
1) upload a photo via the media tools,
2) insert a TEXT widget in the sidebar - we set the title as "I first heard the 'Call'..."
3) in the text portion use something like this
HTML Code:

<p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-37" title="100_5039" src="http://callofthemuse.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/100_5039-254x300.jpg" alt="100_5039" width="127" height="150" />Once upon a time, I belonged to a book club...at work...but work got in the way of our meetings. A co-worker had to go out of town one week and she challenged me to take notes. "Be creative." she siad. She created a monster.</p>
<p>My husband submitted it to the local paper and twelve years later, I've written over a hunderd articles. These articles are now being posted to this blog...with my new ones of course.</p>

you will need to change the address to point at your image and change the text for your needs

Thanks, jd, this worked fine. Can you clarify what "wp-image-37" does?

I assume it's a way of numbering your image uploads to the upload folder, since this was the first image I've uploaded to that folder I designated it "wp-image-001". I just want to be sure I understand this correctly. Thanks

that is a class for the particular image - in my case this is image 37 - I could use this to set a CSS rule for this item.

I got this info by inserting an image I had uploaded into a post, viewing the post then viewing the source of the page.

OK. I get it. That's a useful thing to know.

Now, here's a really stupid question, how do I add that info like you have (software version numbers you're on) that appears beneath the post numbers at the bottom of the forum message box?

in the forum->user CP->Edit Your Details, just stick in in place of 'Location'
