[SOLVED] Style POSTS and PAGES - widths not correct in IE

Hi,

I'm not displaying any left sidebar, and the center column where the page content was being displayed was narrower than it needed to be.

So I went into ATO, Style POSTS and PAGES, and in the POST Container section I set a width of 750px. I did the same in the HEADLINE Box, and in the Body Box. This displays perfectly in FF and Chrome, but of course not in IE.

In IE the part of the page displaying the content is only about 3/4 the width it should be, and there's a big blank column between the body text and the rhs sidebar.

What to do?

Thanks,
WP.

what version of Atahualpa and WP?
What is the URL?

without seeing the site, I suspect you have an error in some CSS and FF and Chrome and Safari are forgiving, but IE is not and a slight mistake can mess things up bigtime

Sorry, should have given more info!

It's Atahualpa 3.4.9 and WP 3.0.1.

It's the very early stage of a client's site, and the url is http://www.d1089064-6.cp.blacknight.com/ The Franchises page (http://www.d1089064-6.cp.blacknight.com/?page_id=29) really shows the problem - that image displays in full on the other browsers, but is cut off in IE.

Another (unrelated) thing, hope you don't mind me asking here, but under the header image there's a 'No Categories' line. I'm not using any categories - the site is going to be all pages - so how can I get rid of that line?

Many thanks,
WP.

go to ato->Style & configure SIDEBARS and uncheck all the boxed for the option 'RIGHT INNER sidebar: Display on:'

since there is nothing in it, FF and Chrome ignore it, but good old IE displays the empty space
