I started with WordPress and Atahualpa in March of this year and I was totally new to this. Since then and multiple revisions later here is what I ended up with (it may still have a couple of kinks, but I have it doing what I want).

Just launched our CMS City Guide website using Atahualpa: http://capetown.allaboutcityguides.com/

Really happy with how easy it was to customize Atahualpa to our needs. Great theme!
Please let me know what you think of the site.

re Savenor's Market, this is very impressive.

I will be presenting Atahualpa Nov 16th to the monthly meeting of WordPressNYC. I'd hoping for your permission to offer this site as an example of how far Atahualpa can be extended. Since I can't see all that you did so beautifully, I'm hoping you will answer some questions, either here in the forum or though direct email (harkins.joe@gmail.com).

In looking at View Source I can't see an eCommerce plugin but obviously there is a shopping cart. I see an /onlinemarket/ but still no shopping cart. So, how did you create he cart?

By the same method, i see a plugin Alkivia Framework but in exploring the site, I can't see how you are using it. Can you point me to a nav meu link that will do that?

Great layout but large blocks of reverse text are a major readability issue.

On that same point, the dark background does not give the impression that Capetown is a bright and inviting place.

Hi,

Mine is a little older, has been thru many modiffications but it found its platform and theme.
Great theme, by the way.

Hi guys, thought I would share my frontpage for you all to see. I have tried out lots and lots of CMS's in an effort to find something to compliment my busy forum but nothing ever hit the spot until now.. I have dumped my old Joomla driven site and am using this theme on wordpress.

http://www.toyotagtturbo.com

Site traffic has gone through the roof since deploying this new portal and I have also seen an increase in time spent on the site and pages viewed per visit.

I had no hesitation in donating and will be donating again soon as I will be using this theme on more sites in the future.

After customizing and creating child themes for some time on other projects, I decided to give Atahualpa a try because it was very well-reviewed and it was laid out similarly to the design I wanted to use. So easy! I'm hooked.

Thank you for the wealth of information and quick responses on the help forum, as well! You guys are great.

Thank you.
The 'boxes' are all widgets with CSS rules applied within the ATA config for widgets.

Just wish they looked as nice in IE :(

Well ... no need to look. The blank screen problem in 3.6.4 convinced me it was time to move on. Atahualpa is no longer on my site.

I spend so much time stealing I mean looking for motivation in this thread. Great work by all! Shows how good of a template it is when amateurs can whack out a great site.

I posted in the first thread & that was years ago. I would love to hear you advice & thoughts.

I've been reading for awhile, and I've been using this theme for longer. I've really come to love it. Anyway, here's one of my sites, I'm still making changes, but it works for now.

How To Ubuntu

I'm using Atahualpa for my website diarizing my travels around the world via bicycle.

http://www.tiredofit.ca - I am looking to do something to the header and make the menus a bit more appealing shortly.

Thanks for the template.

The Foxtrak site looks just sooo great! Good job!
Myself I have been working (and am still) on my webpage for myself- a Swedish standup comedian. I am getting towards what I want now. Using the rounded theme template as a base, and then changing it here and there.

My homepage

Next thing is to work on the menu, maybe even put it above the rest of the page and not under the header as I have it now.

My latest ATA:

http://www.aledoland.com/

Using the blog engine for "specials", post tags to separate the content by community... and if ANYone can tell me how to lose the dotted lines on the main nav - I've tried all kinds of stuff from the control panel to CSS inserts...

lmilesw Jan 4, 2011 01:08 PM

mcphoto...

Put the following in ATO>Add HTML/CSS Inserts>CSS Inserts
HTML Code:

.menu-pages-container {
border: none !important;
}

My latest site, for enthusiasts of Fiat cars, features an Atahualpa-based site as a homepage integrated with a forum.

lsmilesw's help was much appreciated in helping me nail down the CSS exactly as desired. :)

Good Stuff Vincent!

How did you get the three widgets at the bottom of the content? I'm just starting to delve into adding widget areas and I assume that's what you did. ????

Great look to the site!

Very nice design. Curious whether you made the header design yourself or if it is available somewhere? I love that sun-ray kind of look and see it frequently but have never actually found a source for it.

Beautiful design. Very inviting.

Where did you find the background that you used? It's very classy. If I could find something like that in a lighter beige kind of color, my client would be very happy with me (and you.) :-)

Wow!
I love what you've done with this website, not recognisable it's ATA at all.
Just one suggestion, for better loading speed it's best to link to the css file rather than embedding?
