How to start from scratch?

I'm new to this theme, and in trying to do some very basic customizing I've broken everything. Everything I have tried to do to recover it to it's original form has just made things worse. I've spent 15 or more hours trying to fix it, but I have gotten practically nowhere.

How do I revert back to the way it looked when I first tried it? I got desperate and tried to to "Revert all theme options" but it looks nothing like it did when I first tried the theme. I just want to start back from square one. Is there a way to do it without blowing out everything from my domain and literally installing Wordpress from scratch :confused:

I've worked in IT for years (not programing), and thought I had at least a basic handle on how this stuff works. All I've managed to do is make everything unusable. My guess is this is the last time my wife asks me to help her with this LOL. It has been a sobering holiday weekend...

[SOLVED] Adding custom cursor (mouse pointer) with .cur or .ani file when self-hostin

With the help of much Web advice, I managed to get a custom cursor working on the parent site, http://attadipa.org. For any other interested newbies, I made the new .cur file in freeware (thanks!) RealWorld Cursor Editor, http://www.rw-designer.com. Put a new file called styles.css in the parent directory (using just the cPanel editor) with this content:

body {cursor: url(enso2.cur), default;}
a {cursor: url(enso2.cur), pointer;}
li {cursor: url(enso2.cur), crosshair;}
p {cursor: url(enso2.cur), text;}
.class1 {cursor: url(enso2.cur), move;}

and added this line to the index.html file

above .

Haven't figured out where in Atahualpa to put the same or similar code to get the custom cursor into the blog itself (http://metanoia.attadipa.org). Advice appreciated. I'd prefer to have the custom cursor appear only in the sidebars and center column, but that's not critical.

How to deactivate 'Categories' and 'Archives' widgets from left-hand column

Hi there,

I would like to deactivate the 'Categories' and 'Archives' widgets - basically so that these words are not listed in the left-hand column of my site (http://www.koruso.org.uk/) - but I'm finding it tricky to work out how to do this...

I've tried deactivating the widgets using Appearance > Widgets and then moving the available widgets etc. I also used the 'Inactive widgets' box to try to deactivate these - but to no avail...

I'm running Atahualpa 3.4.4.

Any suggestions?

After update, drop-down menus messed up, images are gone.

Please help advise how to 1.) make the drop down menus look better and not HIDE the sub sub menus, adn 2.) my existing pictures/images have been replaced by images of flowers. (I knew I shouldn't have updated.) Please help.

I need to create a three column layout with vertical navigation in the left sidebar (all pages), different right sidebars for different pages, and a customized layout with easily editable content areas in the main content area for the front page.

Typically I would edit the index.php file for the home page, and create different page templates and/or use custom fields for the inner pages. But the Atahualpa settings seem to apply site-wide.

In Atahualpa, it looks like I can handle the front page custom layout in the Style & Edit Center Column options box -- but will this carry over into all pages?

Also, I don't have a sense of how to get the vertical navigation in the left column, or how to have different right column setups for different pages.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Good Morning all!

Spent a lot of time lately working with this theme and attempting to get to grips with html/css. It's been a steep learning curve, but where I could otherwise have probably used a plug-in, I prefer to persevere with css inserts where possible. It's the only way I am going to learn!

Anyhow, I am hoping that someone out there may have had some experience with creating a site with a sports theme? I am creating a website for a running/athletics club, and one of the main functions will be to publish race results and times. I have found "wp-table-reloaded" which makes it simple to import data, but what I am after is a secondary menu on my home page with "Latest Results" from various races throughout the week. This would incorporate several links (with dates as description underneath) to recent races. But what I am struggling with is how can I link these up to a main table?
My idea is that I create one post with ALL the tables from ALL races (past and present) but do not know how to separate or create a tag for each table to allow me to create a link to one specific race. Hope this makes sense?
Even if I separate tables out into race meetings and create a table for each e.g. Oklahoma Run, I am still left with dilemma how to link up to one specific race date from that race meeting.
Unless of course there is a simpler way of doing this? I do not want spoon fed, just some ideas would be nice on how I can get this moving forward as I am stuck at the moment.

Oh and one small thing...
I have amended the Blogroll to suit my needs as an additional Menu, as did not want a horizontal layout (Menu 2) and noticed in the edit screen there is a comment to say that link description will be shown if you hover, or if required you can have the description shown below. How do I show the description below link instead?

Forgot to add that I cannot provide a link to my site at the moment as still working offline using my NAS as a webserver. Not ready to publish up to the big bad web just yet! Using WP 3.01 and Atahualpa 3.53

Help!

I love this theme! But.. couldn't log in this morning.. got this error (I removed part of the message, site specific info)

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in /..../wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_theme_options.php on line 1093

Any idea why, or how to fix?

widget text is underlined everywhere

I am using Atahualpa 3.4.6. with wordpress 2.9.3. I have successfully added 3 text widgets in right sidebar. I am now adding 4th text widget, and the title and body content texts are all underlined everywhere. I added 5th text widget and same problem recurs. I did not tell it to underline. I have not changed any setting in styling widget panel in Atahualpa theme option panel. How can I remove the automatic underlining in the text widget?

Dynamic textarea in atahualpa configuration panel not working

Hello,

It seems to have a problem with the way atahualpa handles the textareas.
Everything was working great for a few day, then now, when I go to the theme configuration panel, all the dynamic textarea are blocked to one line ( which is a blocker problem... ) and no longer expands.

Firebugs returns the following error :

Hey guys, before anything else, I'd like to thank everyone in this forum because even before I posted this question, the discussions here solved about a dozen problems for me already :)

It's my first time using Atahualpa (ver 3.4.9), and for a new blog, too. My particular concern this time is that when I try to post a link from this blog and onto my Facebook page, all it shows are codes, like those in a stylesheet.

What could be causing this problem?

How to Use Google Fonts API

I would like to use the Google Fonts api with my theme. I tried using a plugin to activate the fonts but the theme CSS seems to override the plugin. I would like to use the Google font Reenie Beanie in the page menu. The plugin I was using allowed me to specify which style to apply the font to so I chose list (li) because the page menu is a list, right? Then I tried to add the font inline on the page menu settings page, but that didn't work either. Can anyone give me some direction on this one?

Newbie with version 3.5.1 when I go to my domain name the first page that comes up is just a snippet of my first post and no image and it has the "read more" jump break in it I have to click on the link to go to the actual post on my home page then it shows the full post and images I do not want that first page I want the full post and images etc. how do I get rid of that. I did not do anything in the styling / theme options that would cause that (I don't think i did anyway) I'm confused :confused: Thanks for your help

Could find no clear, unambiguous description on GA, Wordpress or anywhere else. Lots of fog and contradictions. Where does the GA code go? In the theme? On the posts? Where on the page? Header? Footer? I am using version 3.4.6. Thanks.
